Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 715 dated May 6, 2023 canceled the ban on the export of a number of foreign products, including medical products.
The ban on the export of foreign goods from Russia has been in effect since March last year (Resolutions No. 311 and No. 312). The list of products that fell under the restriction included more than two hundred goods for various purposes. Export is allowed only after receiving a special certificate confirming Russian production.
According to the amendments, items such as burs, discs, tips and brushes for use in dental drills, instruments and equipment for measuring blood pressure, artificial teeth and dental fittings are exempted from the ban.
A number of medical products under the code 9021 of the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Eurasian Economic Union were included in the list of goods prohibited for export. The restrictions affected: orthopedic devices, splints and other devices for the treatment of fractures, artificial joints, eye prostheses, pacemakers (with the exception of their parts and accessories), hearing aids (their parts and accessories).
The innovations are aimed at supporting exporters from Russia, who no longer need to obtain certificates confirming Russian origin for products excluded from the regulations.
The ban will last until December 2023.
