From April 21 to 24, 2026, the 59th Moscow International Dental Forum and “Dental Salon 2026” exhibition took place at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center ‒ one of the most anticipated events in the professional community.

Over the course of four days, leading industry experts discussed current issues in dentistry, while leading manufacturers and suppliers presented the latest equipment and materials. KC-PROF, a company specializing in services related to medical device distribution, took an active part in the business program, held a series of negotiations, and signed several significant contracts.

The scale of “Dental Salon 2026” is impressive: the exhibition was held in three exhibition halls (5, 7, and 8) of Pavilion 2 at Crocus Expo. More than 300 companies from Russia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Poland, Switzerland, and South Korea. Moreover, 32 companies participated for the first time. The booths featured products from more than 1,000 manufacturers, and hundreds of educational lectures and master classes were held covering all areas of dentistry.

The Russian Dental Association (RDA) served as the forum’s strategic partner, while the scientific program was organized by the Russian University of Medicine under the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Union of Moscow Dentists (Moscow). GREEN DENT was the general sponsor of the exhibition, with booths located in Halls 7 and 8.

The forum’s scientific program was rich and diverse, covering all key areas of modern dentistry. The forum hosted the 54th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Issues in Dentistry.” The conference program included 8 faculty sessions and 10 symposia for a wide range of specialists.

The “Digital Technologies in Dentistry” professorial session, held on the first day of the forum, deserved special attention. The discussion focused on robotic systems and digital technologies in prosthetic dentistry, the application of artificial intelligence in endodontics, as well as additive technologies and 3D printing for the creation of functional medical devices.

The 93rd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) ‒ one of the largest international exhibitions of medical equipment and technology ‒ took place in Shanghai from April 9 to 12.

The exhibition showcased the latest advances in medical equipment and technology, including:

The exhibition was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The total exhibition area exceeded 320,000 square meters. Approximately 5,000 companies from more than 30 countries and regions around the world participated in the exhibition, including the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and others. The total number of visitors from 150 countries exceeded 200,000. Our company could not stay on the sidelines and also took part in the exhibition.

The exhibition’s main theme reflects the direction of the entire industry’s development ‒ the active adoption of innovations, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. These technologies are already real tools that are transforming approaches to diagnosis and treatment.

During the forum, our company held a series of meetings with manufacturers and distributors of medical devices, OEM/ODM suppliers, as well as regulatory and industry experts. The meetings focused on potential international cooperation regarding market entry into Russia. Among the exhibitors were major multinational companies: United Imaging, Mindray, Philips, Siemens Healthineers, and GE Healthcare.

The exhibition format included not only the exhibition itself but also forums, conferences, business meetings, and matchmaking activities. Visiting the exhibition demonstrated that the integration of artificial intelligence, robotization, and personalized medicine are not merely trends but new realities.

KC-PROF employees took part in an international regulatory event, the conference “Opportunities and Strategies for Russian-Chinese Cooperation in the Field of Medical Devices.” The conference was held from December 16 to 20 in the Changping district of Beijing.

The event was organized by the Changping District People’s Government and Tsinghua University Institute. The aim of the conference was to jointly develop solutions for Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of medical devices. Representatives of Russian and Chinese regulatory authorities also took part in the conference.

As part of the business program, KC-PROF Director Sergey Evdokimov gave a presentation on “How to choose a consulting firm for medical device registration.” The presentation sparked lively interest among the audience and received positive feedback from both Russian and Chinese participants.

The conference concluded with a visit to the Changping International Medical Device City exhibition, an industrial area with a concentration of medical device manufacturing companies, which officially opened in November 2024.

The main advantage of this location is that it provides a full cycle of medical device production, including research, prototype development, commercialization of R&D results, and rapid implementation in clinical practice. The conference featured demonstrations of the flagship products of resident companies.

“Participation in the conference is an important step in our strategic development program in foreign markets. Today, China is a center of technological innovation and one of the largest manufacturers of medical products. We saw enormous interest in our solutions and established contacts that will lay the foundation for long-term and mutually beneficial Russian-Chinese cooperation,” said Sergey Evdokimov. An example of the beginning of such a partnership was the signing of an agreement with Beijing Changfazhan Pharmaceutical Health Technology Co.

Thus, participation in the conference allowed the KS-PROF team to hold a series of strategic meetings with leading Chinese companies, discuss the prospects for joint projects and entering the Russian market.

Russian Healthcare Week is a large-scale project that unites all spheres of medicine and healthcare ‒ from the production of medical equipment to scientific research and practical application of the results in medical institutions. On May 22, 2025 in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meeting of the organizing committee to prepare for the forum.

The meeting highlighted the work plans, approved the composition of the organizing committee and approved the draft program of the forum in December 2025. At the end of the meeting the next one is planned, which will be held in September 2025.

Traditionally, several international exhibitions are scheduled within the forum: “Healthcare”, “Healthy Lifestyle”, “MedTravelExpo. Sanatoriums. Resorts. Medical Centers” and ‘PharmMedProm’.

The main goal is to help Russia achieve technological superiority in medicine, create its own powerful production base of medical goods and services, improve the system of healthcare, education and medical tourism.

Ultimately, the project is designed to improve the demographic situation in the country and increase the life expectancy of citizens. It is a comprehensive program aimed at modernizing and developing the entire Russian healthcare system and related industries to make it more efficient and modern.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed amendments to the appendix to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 719 of July 17, 2015, which consists in establishing a point system for assessing criteria for determining the level of localization of the medical devices production.

The purpose of the proposed changes is to gradually increase the percentage of Russian components used in the production of medical devices. This should serve as an additional factor for the development of domestic production in Russia and reduce dependence on imports.

The list of medical products that are proposed to be evaluated using a point system includes:

The criteria for evaluation and scoring will be the degree of localization of individual technological operations and quality control of both individual components for production and the product as a whole. The minimum required total number of evaluation points required to recognize a medical product as domestic will gradually increase every year, starting from 2024 to 2026.

The corresponding draft resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation is posted on the website of the Federal Project of Regulatory Legal Acts. It is currently in the public consultation stage.

The measures considered will make it possible to stimulate the transfer of production of a wide range of medical products to the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Government of the Russian Federation adopted resolutions No. 1768 and No. 1769 of October 24, 2023, regulating the procedure for allocating funds to equip medical institutions and specialized schools with products for detecting and controlling diabetes.

The documents were developed by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation within the framework of the federal project “Fighting Diabetes Mellitus”. According to the regulations, in government procurement priority is given to domestic products with equivalent technological characteristics.

According to the «Narodnyi Front», which conducted a survey of 4,200 citizens on the availability of glucometers, over 70% of respondents reported a shortage of devices for continuous glucose monitoring. More than 80% reported a shortage of consumables for them. Particularly common is the lack of sensor systems that transmit glucose data to a smartphone.

Another significant problem is the lack of systems equipped with an insulin pump, which is necessary primarily for children who cannot independently inject insulin.

At the end of September, the problem of providing citizens with devices for monitoring blood sugar levels was voiced at a meeting of President V. Putin with members of the Government. Based on its results, the head of the Ministry of Health, M. Murashko, was instructed to present a solution to the current problem.

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has made amendments to the document developed this spring on a new procedure for registering medical devices, which may come into force on 04/01/2024 and replace the current PP No. 1416 of 12/27/2012. The updated rules should simplify the procedure for registering medical devices (MD). Below are the key changes:

We remind you: registration of medical devices according to national rules is valid until December 31, 2025, after which registration can only be carried out in accordance with EAEU rules.

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has made a proposal to transfer the procedure for registering medical devices (MD) into electronic form. For now, changes are planned only for medical devices registered in accordance with a facilitated procedure.

Amendments are planned to be made to Resolution No. 552 of 04/01/2022, which regulates the specifics of the circulation of medical devices in case of their deficiency (shortage of suggestion in the market) or a risk of deficiency. The deficiency of these devices arose due to the introduction of economic restrictive measures against Russia.

In case of electronic registration, documents will need to be submitted on the Unified State Services portal through personal account. Documentation will need to be submitted either in the form of electronic documents or in the form of electronic images of documents signed with the applicant’s electronic signature. Changes to registration documents will also be made through your personal account. The registration certificate will be issued to the applicant in electronic form.

If the amendments are adopted, they will come into force on April 1, 2024. Registering medical devices using facilitated procedure is permitted until January 1, 2025.

On October 1, mandatory labeling began for some medical devices (MD), orthopedic products, recirculators, wheelchairs, as well as biologically active additives and antiseptics.

Mandatory labeling requires registration of manufacturers, distributors and importers in the “Chestnyj znak” system, into which information about labeling is submitted. Registration in the system started on September 1. Market participants had to enter a description of their goods into the electronic catalog, as well as work out procedures for applying labeling and transferring data about it and about putting products on sale into the “Chestnyj znak” system.

The purpose of mandatory labeling is to eliminate counterfeit products from the market. There are fines for the production and sale of products without labeling, as well as for the sale, storage and transportation without transmitting information to the “Chestnyj znak”.

The experiment on labeling the above products was carried out in several stages, starting in 2019. To date, the number of registered participants has amounted to more than 30 thousand, which exceeded the expected number by 2.8 times.

From 03/01/2024, labeling will become mandatory for a number of other medical devices, including: hearing aids, coronary stents, computed tomographs, incontinence sanitary products and medical gloves.
